Hesketh Part Sensory Garden - Sefton Council

ICI Architecture Studio was appointed by Gardens by Peter Lloyd to assist with the remodeling of a sensory garden at Hesketh Park.

The site featured a semi-circled track with a mound of soil in the middle of it.

The central semi-circle had so much potential and we advised that it would be great to increase permeability into the site and allow visitors to get closer up to the plants rather than viewing from a perimeter wall.

We created new wheelchair and stepped access routes and swept pathways through the heart of the sensory garden.

This has been well received by the locals and community support groups.
